Making Money On The Internet Part 1: Google Adsense

Making money on the Internet is becoming a work-at-home trend nowadays. One of the ways to earn money online is through blogging. Bloggers earn money by placing ads on their blogs. One of the popular ad servers is Google Adsense.

Bloggers earn online through Adsense when visitors on their blog clicks an ad. Google Adsense tracks these clicks and the credit goes to the blog owner. Adsense displays ads which corresponds to the page's content. For example, if a page discusses about making money on the Internet, it displays ads which are related to making money online. If the page contains a topic about computer games, it displays ads related to computer games.

There are several types of ads served by Adsense. One type of ad is the Text and Image ad which has different sizes and layout. It displays either text ads or image ads. The other type of ad is the link unit ad which only display text link ads.

To begin setting up ads imply register at Google Adsense and follow the guide on how to create an ad unit. Once an ad unit has been created you may put it on your website or blogsite. Don't have a website or blog? Then try blogging by signing up for free at Blogger.com and you'll find out how easy it is to setup a blog like this one. There is a help section where your blogging questions will be answered.

After you setup your blog and your ads then start promoting it by announcing it in social networking sites like Friendster or Facebook. Tell your friends, relatives and anybody you know that has access to the Internet to visit your blog. Always post new topics regularly so that your readers will have something new to read. Webmasters and bloggers earn unlimited income with Adsense. It depends on the number of visitors to their sites.

Important reminder: Never click your own ads as it will result in a banned Adsense account.

That's it. Start earning money online with Adsense. You may view your earnings at the reports page of your Adsense account.

Watch The Watchers

I have recently watched the movie The Watchers and I'd say it's both confusing and entertaining. The setting of the movie took place in an alternate 1985 or let's say the year 1985 with different events. How different? Well, there are a lot of of costumed heroes and a super powered human who can teleport himself and everything around him.

The story is quite confusing due to different flashbacks showed all throughout the film. If you don't pay attention to the events in the film as it is shown, you would be really confused as to when a certain scene happened. The movie's action scenes and the numerous R-13 scenes are both fun to watch.

What really amused me is the twist at the end of the movie which was really unexpected. Even though the movie was more than 2 hours long, the film itself is worth watching. If you haven't watched The Watchers yet, I suggest you watch it now.

DOTA: The Introduction

What is DOTA?

Defense of the Ancients or DOTA is a Warcraft 3 modified map which features heroes controlled by human players, and sometimes AI bots, which are divided into two teams - the Sentinels and the Scourge. The game is played by controlling a single hero and fighting the heroes of the other team. It is a team game of up to 5 players on each team and has role-playing game elements in it since the heroes gain a higher level every time a creep or another hero is killed. Players also receive gold every time an enemy creep or enemy hero is killed which can be used to buy items which will benefit a hero by boosting his abilities. Enemy towers when destroyed will also give gold bounty to the player who destroys it.

Dota can be played by up to 10 players dived into two teams. Team work and strategy plays an important part in winning a game. The main objective of the game is to destroy the Sentinel's Tree of Life or the Scourge's Frozen Throne. If either of these two important structures gets destroyed, the game ends.

Dota is played either via Local Area Network or online via Battle.net or GArena.

The latest version of Dota is v6.63.
